experfllMemorial Day is our opportunity to remember and honor our heroes who have fallen serving our country.
Project Zero, in partnership with Global Martial Arts and Rise Gym will host Memorial Day Hero WOD fundraiser to help us fortify our physical wellness program that provides 12-month group-based fitness scholarships to qualified military/veterans, first responders, and LEOs.
This year we are doing the tried and true “Murph”, which honors the life of Lieutenant Michael Murphy from Patchogue, NY, who died serving in Afghanistan in 2005.
The Murph workout is done for time and consists of:
You can do it unbroken, or partition it as needed. Anyone that has the courage to try The Murph will make it through; we’ll make sure of that! There are plenty of available modifications!
We’re doing this peer-to-peer, meaning that individual registration is $50 but you can start a team to set a goal and invite your community to help meet it!
Each participant will get a Memorial Day Hero WOD shirt!
Prizes/Awards to top finishers and to top fundraisers!
This event was created to help us fortify our heroes physical wellness program that provides 12-month group-based fitness scholarships to qualified military/veterans, first responders, and LEOs.
You’ll experience nothing better than to undergo voluntary suffering on a day that means so much as a reminder of their sacrifice and give back to cause.
