We support Houston-area veterans and first responders to receive cost-free and confidential counseling in the face of trauma. We build a connected community utilizing low-to-no cost outdoor adventure-therapy across Texas\, New Mexico\, Colorado\, and more. We also support building physical wellness and partner with group fitness gyms for no-cost to them. \nSince 2020 Project Zero has impacted over 200 active military\, veterans\, and first responders in Texas and beyond. The 17th annual event is a worldwide tradition for the Jeep community to celebrate the start of Spring by taking off their Jeep tops. \n\nMore than 560+ events took place worldwide in 2023 – events ranged from 4×4 and trail cleanups to Jeep parades to show and shines. Over the years tens of thousands of Jeepers have participated in the various Barricade Go Topless Day® celebrations\, collectively raising over $687\,000 for charity. \n\nIt is anticipated that the 2024 Barricade Go Topless Day® will be an equally successful event. DESCRIPTION:experfllMemorial Day is our opportunity to remember and honor our heroes who have fallen serving our country. \nProject Zero\, in partnership with Global Martial Arts and Rise Gym will host Memorial Day Hero WOD fundraiser to help us fortify our physical wellness program that provides 12-month group-based fitness scholarships to qualified military/veterans\, first responders\, and LEOs. \nThis year we are doing the tried and true “Murph”\, which honors the life of Lieutenant Michael Murphy from Patchogue\, NY\, who died serving in Afghanistan in 2005. \nThe Murph workout is done for time and consists of: \n\nA one-mile run\n100 pull-ups\n200 push-ups\n300 squats\nAnother one-mile run\n\nYou can do it unbroken\, or partition it as needed. Anyone that has the courage to try The Murph will make it through; we’ll make sure of that!
