DESCRIPTION:We’re sending a team to take on the Bataan Memorial Death March next year! \n \nSince its inception\, the Bataan Memorial Death March’s participation has grown from about 100 to about 9\,600 marchers. These marchers come from across the United States and several foreign countries. While still primarily a military event\, many civilians choose to participate in the challenging march. Participants get to choose between two courses: a 15.6-mile and a 26.4-mile course.

DESCRIPTION:Get ready to dive in and swim the gentle giants! We’re taking a select few veterans to go on a once in a lifetime adventure thanks to Georgia Aquarium. Stay tuned for details! \n \nGeorgia Aquarium is committed to serving the brave men and women\, active and retired\, who have served us. As a thank you for their incredible service\, we developed the Veterans Immersion Program in 2008 as a way to support the wounded heroes in our armed forces. \nGeorgia Aquarium is honored to provide this unique adjunctive therapy to complement current rehabilitation and reintegration programs. Participants challenge themselves with an experience outside their comfort zones\, encounter enormous animals\, and for some\, relax and move in the water in ways they may not be able to on land. \nSince its founding\, the program has hosted thousands of military personnel and guests who have been physically\, emotionally\, or mentally wounded – injuries both seen and unseen. Participants of all abilities (from quadriplegia or amputations to post traumatic stress or traumatic brain injuries) are welcome 365 days a year to swim or dive in our 6.3 million gallon gallery\, Ocean Voyager\, Built by The Home Depot\, or touch and feed sharks and rays during an immersive encounter. Guests come face to face with some of the ocean’s largest creatures.
